Interview with Linxens
“Professional, on the heart, innovative – and with enthusiasm for what they do.”
Ludwig Stüwe, Linxens
Why Business Intelligence?
There is strong predatory competition in our industry. An exact location determination regarding internal cost structures in production, order controlling, delivery capabilities, inventories or sales price trends is therefore inevitable. Fast and targeted responses to customer enquiries are absolute necessary. Data analytics is becoming increasingly important and is becoming a strategic weapon in the battle for customers and markets. It is crucial to make the core processes of one’s own value creation measurable and to manage the contribution of all parts of the organization in a targeted manner at the point of origin.
Why DeltaMaster?
We use DeltaMaster in controlling, sales, product management and business unit management to make cost or margin trends visible and understandable. Other areas include customer service, production, procurement- and the visualization and control of incoming orders, production volumes, internal goods movements and inventories.
How do you experience Bissantz?
Professional, on the heart, innovative – and with enthusiasm for what they do. We are particularly enthusiastic about the philosophy that the visualization of numbers must follow a simple and comprehensible structure. This is of particular benefit to us in an intercultural environment. DeltaMaster helps to make the most important correlations and trends in the data obvious, and gets by with speaking representations without explanations.
How did it start?
At the very beginning, the goal of the BI implementation at Linxens consisted of analyzing present data of global systems and combining dimensions of analyses of production and sales fast and easy according to customer specific product features, without requiring users know-how about the system.
What is next?
The trend is following a company-wide unified database: the one-stop shop for data analytics. Analyses must be decisiverelevant for control measures and be available at all levels of the company, from management to the operational level.
The benefit?
The development and expansion of the DeltaMaster application in our company show us that the standardization of our database, the development of analytical competence in the specialist areas and the acceleration of internal review processes have contributed greatly to the reduction of redundant communication in order to obtain management information.
Your conclusion?
The gain in time and insight for those who have benefited from it convinces me that the development of DeltaMaster into an even more comprehensive solution will make our organization even more adaptable to the needs of our customers, markets and shareholders.
